Bayern Takes Its Perfect Start to Leverkusen

Bayern Munich puts a perfect Bundesliga start on the line Monday at Bayer Leverkusen, with the defending champions already looking every bit like the team to beat again. Bayern has opened the league season with three straight wins, scoring 10 goals while beating Union Berlin 4-1, Mainz 2-0 and Freiburg 4-1.

Leverkusen has been solid too. It opened with a 2-0 win at RB Leipzig, lost 2-1 to Wolfsburg, then responded with a 2-1 victory at Hoffenheim. That makes Monday less of a routine Bayern stop and more of an early test against a Leverkusen side that has already shown it can handle strong opposition.
