Bühl Gives Bayern Five-Point Lead as Manchester United Edges Liverpool

Klara Bühl finished an 18th-minute counterattack to give Bayern Munich a 1–0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, keeping the champions perfect in the Frauen-Bundesliga and opening a five-point lead over their closest pursuer. In England, Julia Zigiotti Olme’s sixth-minute chip carried Manchester United to a 1–0 Women’s Super League victory over Liverpool at Progress With Unity Stadium.

The meeting at Stadion am Brentanobad matched the league’s only two unbeaten teams, and Frankfurt’s own set piece became Bayern’s opening. Moments after goalkeeper Ena Mahmutović saved from Larissa Mühlhaus, Frankfurt sent in the resulting corner. Edna Imade won the ball at the near post and found Sophie Proost in midfield, and Proost drove forward before releasing Bühl, who finished into the far corner.
