#5 Iowa beat Ohio State for the second time in three days Sunday, rallying from a 2-1 halftime deficit for a 3-2 win at Grant Field. Dionne van Aalsum opened the scoring in the sixth minute for the 76th goal of her career. That tied her with Marcia Pankratz and Erica Richards for third on Iowa's all-time list and ended a three-game scoring drought, the longest of her career.
Ohio State took the lead with back-to-back second-quarter goals from Phillippa Jowett and Lea DeWan. Iowa answered after the break. Reine van Hoof equalized in the 36th minute, and Fréderique van Cleef scored the winner in the 50th, her 14th goal of the season. First-year goalkeeper Julia Claessens made a career-high nine saves as the Buckeyes outshot Iowa 19-13. "I really liked our problem solving in the second half," coach Lisa Cellucci said. Iowa, which beat Ohio State 4-1 in Friday's Big Ten meeting, improved to 10-1 and has now come from behind to win four times this season.
