#1 Nebraska swept Maryland 25-13, 25-20, 25-15 on Saturday in front of a record crowd to stay unbeaten. The Cornhuskers improved to 15-0 overall and 4-0 in Big Ten play, while Maryland fell to 11-4 and 1-3.
Middle blocker Andi Jackson supplied the match’s most dominant individual line. She finished with 12 kills on .455 hitting, six service aces, five blocks and four digs. Her six aces tied the Nebraska program record for a three-set match, matching Annika Albrecht in 2015, Michelle Lynch in 2004 and Anna Schrad in 2002. It was a career high for Jackson, and Nebraska’s 11 aces gave it a steady advantage from the serving line all afternoon.
