Real Madrid survived a wild 5-3 fight at Real Sociedad, twice having to retake the lead after the hosts pulled level. Lineth Beerensteyn opened the scoring in the third minute with her first goal for Madrid, but Cecilia Marcos equalized almost immediately and struck again after halftime for a 2-1 Sociedad lead. Sara Däbritz came off the bench and scored twice in three minutes to flip the match, only for more drama to follow. Merle Frohms saved Paula Fernández’s penalty, but the kick was ordered retaken because Frohms had left her line early, and Fernández converted the second attempt for 3-3. Felicia Schröder then headed Madrid back in front from Däbritz’s cross in the 87th and scored again in stoppage time. Däbritz finished with two goals and two assists as Madrid remained unbeaten in all competitions.
Barcelona’s 2-0 win at Logroño produced the day’s other headline. Mayssa Baha headed Caroline Graham Hansen’s corner into the net in the 17th minute and, at 15 years, eight months and 10 days, became Barça’s youngest scorer since the women’s team became an official club section in 2002. Pere Romeu had entrusted the road game to a starting XI averaging just 22 years old with Roma and Real Madrid coming next, and Logroño made the young side work for it after halftime, with Justina Morcillo hitting the crossbar. Substitute Patri Guijarro finally gave Barça breathing room with a chip from the edge of the box in the 71st, while Aitana Bonmatí returned from injury for her first appearance of the season.
