North Carolina Survive Match Point and Reverse-Sweep Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech were celebrating a sweep when North Carolina’s challenge brought the match back to life. The Yellow Jackets rushed the court after what they thought was a match-sealing block, but coach Mike Schall challenged a net fault and the call was overturned. From there, #25 North Carolina fought its way to a 3–2 victory on Sunday.

The Tar Heels had lost the first two sets 25–23 and 25–22 and trailed 24–20 in the third. After the successful review, Carolina erased the deficit and survived multiple match points. Addison West’s kill put North Carolina ahead 27–26, and a block by Zoe Behrendt and Lauren Schutter finished the set 28–26.
