United States Draws Brazil as U-20 World Cup Reaches Knockouts

The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup leaves the group stage behind Wednesday, and the United States gets no gentle entry into the knockout rounds. Brazil waits after winning all three of its group matches. A 3-0 win over Canada and a 2-1 comeback against England were enough to finish first in Group B.

Wednesday's opponent finally arrived in the last group game, when the United States overwhelmed New Zealand 9-0. Kennedy Fuller scored a hat trick, Alex Buck added two more, and the rout stands as the largest margin of victory in U.S. U-20 World Cup history.
