#3 Vanderbilt scored three times after halftime Sunday to beat #9 Tennessee 3-1 in Knoxville, handing the Lady Vols their first loss of the season and winning at Regal Soccer Stadium for the first time since 2018. Sydney Watts broke a scoreless match less than two minutes into the second half and struck again in the 62nd minute, with freshman Mia Hebert assisting both. Ines Derrien pulled Tennessee within one in the 74th after Ayva Jordan's initial shot was stopped, but Megan Hinnenkamp restored the two-goal cushion four minutes later with a backheel. Vanderbilt stayed unbeaten at 10-0-1.
#2 Michigan State scored inside three minutes and never let #18 Washington back into the match, winning 3-0 in East Lansing for its first win over the Huskies in program history. Ella Janz supplied the early goal before Lacey Kindel and Grace Jackson scored in the second half. Kindel's first collegiate goal came on her 17th birthday. The win gave the Spartans a measure of payback after Washington beat them on penalties in last season's Big Ten Tournament final, though it came at a cost: striker Emerson Sargeant left with a foot injury and finished the match in a boot. Michigan State improved to 8-1-2 and 4-1-0 in the Big Ten.
