Solheim Cup Goes to Sunday Singles Deadlocked at 8-8

After two days of trading momentum, the Solheim Cup arrives at Sunday exactly where it began: even. Europe and the United States are tied 8-8 after Saturday produced two completely different sessions, with Europe taking the morning foursomes 3-1 before the Americans answered by winning the afternoon four-balls by the same margin. Twelve singles matches now decide everything.

Europe looked ready to take control Saturday morning. Maja Stark and Linn Grant beat Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz 3&2, Leona Maguire and Esther Henseleit edged Jennifer Kupcho and Rose Zhang on the 18th, and rookies Mimi Rhodes and Nastasia Nadaud produced a dominant 4&3 win over Andrea Lee and Auston Kim. Only Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin broke through for the Americans, routing Charley Hull and Lottie Woad 6&5 and leaving Europe with a 7-5 advantage heading into the afternoon.
