Queen Aminata got the win over Skye Blue, but by the end of the night nearly everyone with designs on Mercedes Moné’s AEW Women’s World Championship had found her way into the same picture. With Moné watching from commentary, Aminata and Blue traded control through a physical match that included Blue suplexing Aminata from the ring steps to the floor. Julia Hart tried to create an opening from ringside, only for Mina Shirakawa to keep her from becoming a deciding factor. Blue came frighteningly close after a thrust kick and knee strike, but Aminata survived, escaped Code Blue and finished her with Queen’s Crown followed by Off With Her Head. Hart attacked immediately afterward, Shirakawa came to Aminata’s aid, Thekla joined the Triangle of Madness side and Willow Nightingale charged out after her. The final image told the story: Aminata, Shirakawa and Willow holding the ring; Thekla, Blue and Hart retreating up the ramp; and Moné standing on the commentary desk raising the championship above all six.
That championship picture had been simmering all night. Thekla promised that things would get “toxic” when she faces Willow at All Out, while Willow made clear exactly why Saturday matters to her. She and Moné are tied 2-2, and beating Thekla would make Willow the #1 contender for a chance to settle that score at WrestleDream. Trouble is waiting for the women’s tag champions too. Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor arrived for a suspiciously civilized tea-and-crumpets gathering with All Out challengers Megan Bayne and Lena Kross, only for Divine Dominion to reveal the setup and drop both Brawling Birds with stereo body slams.
