SKY Pins Rodriguez as Bayley Calls Out Valkyria

IYO SKY turned Raquel Rodriguez’s Tejana Bomb into a rollup for the pin Monday night in San Diego, giving her and WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green a tag team win over Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez of The Judgment Day. Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan worked the match from ringside on behalf of her Judgment Day partners, and her interference ended up clearing the way for SKY.

The win reversed the previous Monday. On October 12, Perez beat Green in a non-title match after Morgan and Rodriguez distracted the champion, and Perez finished her with Pop Rox. Green came back a week later with a partner of her own, and SKY gave her the numbers The Judgment Day had used against her.

The Judgment Day still went back to the same plan. Morgan landed a cheap shot on Green from outside the ring, and Rodriguez added one of her own. Green answered with a high crossbody that took Perez and Morgan down together on the floor, which left Rodriguez, the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, alone in the ring with SKY. Rodriguez set up the Tejana Bomb, SKY countered it, and the pin followed seconds later.

Paige Turns the Tables on Nikki Bella in Sacramento

Paige got her payback Friday night on SmackDown at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, beating Nikki Bella with the same kind of shortcut Bella had used against her a month earlier. After a rapid series of pinning attempts, Paige trapped Bella in a roll-up with her foot on the ropes for leverage, and the referee counted three at about the nine-minute mark. The win evened a bitter series between former allies whose friendship collapsed after their SummerSlam trios loss to Fatal Influence on August 1, when Nikki and Brie Bella turned on Paige. Bella won their first singles meeting on September 11 with a roll-up that also relied on the ropes.

Bella did not wait for the bell. She jumped Paige at the start and took the fight to the floor, where both women were driven into the barricades, and when Bella tried to retreat up the stage, Paige chased her down and threw her back into the ring. Bella turned it around by snapping Paige across the ropes and sending her from the apron to the floor. Paige rallied with a fisherman suplex, survived an STF by reaching the bottom rope, then hit an Attitude Adjustment that drew only a two count. Bella answered with a running forearm for a near fall of her own before the rolling pin exchanges decided it.

Sinclair Gets Her Shot as Stone Overrules Jordan

Wren Sinclair will challenge Kelani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc after General Manager Robert Stone lifted Sinclair’s suspension and overruled the champion’s refusal to face her on Tuesday’s NXT from the Performance Center in Orlando.

In the first hour, Sinclair owned the gamble that put her in line for the title. She explained that overthinking had held her back for too long, so she disguised herself as AAA star Lady Shani to enter last week’s number one contender’s battle royal, which she won. She offered Lady Shani an apology she admitted she did not mean. Sinclair acknowledged she does not have the biggest name in the division, pointed to losing the WWE Women’s Speed Championship and to Kendal Grey losing the NXT Women’s Championship, and said she needed to step up for Grey and for herself.

Jordan cut her off and refused to accept the result. The champion argued that too many people were getting away with bending the rules, that a suspended competitor in a disguise should not count as a number one contender, and that she would defend the title at Halloween Havoc against anyone but Sinclair. Stone answered by announcing the suspension was over. He conceded Jordan’s points, but he noted that Sinclair had outlasted the entire field to earn the opportunity, and the Orlando crowd left no doubt where it stood. Stone made Jordan vs. Sinclair official for October 31.

Perez Pins Green as Morgan Opens Her Reign

Liv Morgan opened her new Women’s World Championship reign on Monday Night Raw by helping put Chelsea Green on her back. Roxanne Perez pinned Green with Pop Rox in Bossier City, Louisiana, and the Judgment Day closed the segment standing over the WWE Women’s Champion, two days after Morgan pinned Stephanie Vaquer at Money in the Bank.

Morgan came to the ring at Brookshire Grocery Arena to declare that the Women’s World Championship was back where it belongs, with the Judgment Day. She then turned her attention to Crown Jewel, where she wants to become a two-time Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. Green answered the challenge in person. Morgan called her a “placeholder champion,” and Green promised to make Morgan respect her. Perez interrupted to tell Green she could not beat Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez or Perez herself, and Green squared up with Perez to set the match.

Green had Perez in trouble for long stretches. She landed a meteora, a missile dropkick and a German suplex that nearly ended it, and she kicked out of a Shining Wizard. The numbers caught up with her. Morgan tripped Green as she hit the ropes, and when Perez went up for a moonsault, Green got her knees up. Rodriguez climbed onto the apron, Green sent Perez crashing into her, and Green then dumped Morgan over the announce desk. The rally left her exposed, and Perez hit Pop Rox for the three count.
