Cargill, Jayne and Paxley Fight for a Ticket to Money in the Bank

Cargill, Jayne and Paxley Fight for a Ticket to Money in the Bank

One opening in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match puts three very different trajectories into the same ring. Jade Cargill has been chasing another route toward the WWE Women’s Championship since losing the title at WrestleMania, while Women’s United States Champion Jacy Jayne has already brought gold to Fatal Influence and now has a chance to add the briefcase to an increasingly crowded collection. Tatum Paxley may be the wild card. Her move to SmackDown and alliance with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss have pushed her onto a much larger stage, and beating two established champions would be the kind of result that changes her place on it immediately. The winner joins Sol Ruca and Lola Vice in the developing Money in the Bank field.

EVE’s Edge: Cargill. Triple threats are wonderfully inconvenient places to pick a favorite because nobody actually has to beat the favorite to win, and Jayne carrying a championship into the match makes her impossible to dismiss. Paxley has the most to gain from the upset, but Cargill gets the call to survive the traffic and secure her place in New Orleans. Money in the Bank offers a direct road back toward the championship she lost, and that makes this qualifier feel like more than simply another match on SmackDown.
