Lyons Accepts Choo’s Succession IV Challenge After Rune Ambush

Anya Rune beat Veronica Haven in 2:02 on Wednesday’s EVOLVE, but the night’s biggest women’s development came moments later, when Sloane Jacobs and Nikkita Lyons attacked Rune and Lyons used the aftermath to accept Wendy Choo’s challenge for next week’s Succession IV.

Haven started fast, scoring early nearfalls with a stunner and a running knee, before Rune took over with spinning strikes and a diving forearm. The show leaned into Rune’s style with an exaggerated anime-style fireball effect, and she finished the match with an Eye of the Hurricane-style inverted DDT. Jacobs and Lyons rushed the ring as soon as it ended, beat Rune down and jammed a garbage-filled trash can over her head before Lyons took the microphone and made the Succession IV match official.
